Extremely Disappointing Experience – Highly Unprofessional Behaviour by Shop Owner I had one of the worst rental experiences at Dulhe Raja Men’s Wear. What was supposed to be a simple sherwani rental turned into unnecessary stress and frustration due to the shop owner’s rude, unprofessional, and unethical behaviour. Initially, the owner accepted the order and charged 40% of the MRP as rent, which itself was quite high. Although disappointed, we agreed because there are limited sherwani rental options available in Rewa. However, the real problem started at the time of pickup. After alterations, the sherwani was dirty, and when we requested dry cleaning, the owner refused outright. Instead of resolving the issue, he behaved very unprofessionally, saying things like “You don’t need to take the sherwani, we won’t clean it,” and “I already told you not to rent.” At the last moment, since we urgently needed the sherwani, we were forced to take it as it was. The situation became even worse at the time of return. Despite the sherwani already being dirty at pickup, the owner accused us of returning it dirty and refused to refund the remaining amount. Not only that, he demanded additional charges, even though we had already paid 40% of the MRP and extra money for some items. He stated that the remaining 60% would only be returned if we got the sherwani dry-cleaned ourselves. This raises a serious question: If a shop is renting sherwanis to grooms, isn’t it obvious that minor stains or dirt can happen? If they have such an issue, they should stop offering rental services instead of trapping customers in this kind of scam. During both pickup and return, when discussions became heated due to their unreasonable demands, the owner even tried to intimidate us by showing pictures and making indirect threats, which was completely unacceptable. I strongly DO NOT recommend this shop for sherwani rentals or any wedding wear. There are far better shops with professional behaviour and proper customer service. It’s better to buy from somewhere else than deal with this level of harassment. Save your time, money, and peace of mind — avoid this shop completely.
